43 Tools for the Revolution

Wood, acrylic, glue, sand, 80 x 160 x 65 cm, 2025

'43 Tools for the Revolution' is a collection of elements crafted from sand and wood, replicas of actual tools, weapons, and other objects. While their forms clearly suggest their original functions, their fragile materiality renders them useless, erasing any functional distinction between them. Neatly arranged in a sandbox, these delicate pieces oscillate between archaeological artifacts in a museum display and a child’s intricate beach creation. They become part of a rehearsal, a pretense, a game – an imitation of life with no real capacity to bring about revolutionary change.
