In moments of danger, herds of reindeer form a vast and intricate spiral, surrounding and shielding the weakest members of the group. Constantly moving in circles, the hundreds of individual bodies merge into a single entity, confusing predators and ensuring the safety of the entire herd. Based on actual aerial footage of such events, 'Reindeer Cyclone' is a series of abstract representations of this choreography, frozen in time. Isolating a fragment of the larger cyclone, the series captures the reindeer’s frenetic energy and evokes the collective force of their protective unity.
